Senior OCTG, BHA Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Senior OCTG/BHAInspector to oversee inspection activities in oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with approved standards, specifications, and applicable codes. The Senior Inspector will be responsible for supervising inspection teams, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are fully met at site.

Key Responsibilities

Ÿ Handling independent inspection assignments at supply bases, onshore locations.

Ÿ Extensive exposure handling inspection assignments of Casing, Tubing, Drill Pipe, BHA, Drill Collars, Heavy Weight Drill Pipe, Rotary Tools & Specialist Tools & Equipments inspection.

Ÿ Conduct full drill pipe inspection as per DS-1, Volume-3, Edition- with Cat.3/4/5, API RP 7G-2, NS2, Customer Spec. (UTG, Dimensional, MPI and Visual Inspection, O.D Gauging, Thread Gauging, Pipe Straightening).

Ÿ Conduct upset to upset Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI) on Drill pipes with use Dexim 4000 unit/OEM Unit 4500/5400 and fully automated Newtech Stationary unit or other OEM manufacturer unit

Ÿ Conduct End Area Ultrasonic Inspection on Drill Pipes using to UT Flaw Detector.

Ÿ Conduct full body inspection on Rotary Subs, Stabilizers and Reamers (MPI on ferrous and PT on non-ferrous) as per DS-1, Volume-3, Edition-5 with Category 3-5, API RP 7G-2/NS2 standard.

Ÿ Conduct Dimensional, Visual Inspection & MPI/DPI on different kinds of BHA connections as per DS-1 CAT 3-5 / API RP-7G-2/NS2/ Customer specification.

Ÿ Conduct Full Body Visual, MPI & Dimensional inspection of Mud Motors, Drilling Jars, Fishing Jars, Hydraulic Jars compliance with DS-1/API RP 7G-2/NS2/Customer Spec.

Ÿ Conduct Penetrant Testing on various MWD & LWD tools as per DS1/API/NS2/ASTM-E165/Customer Spec.

Ÿ Conduct Magnetic Particle Inspection on Rig Mast and Structure as per API 4G/OEM

Ÿ Conduct Magnetic Particle Inspection & Dimensional Check on Pipe Handling tools as per API RP 7L, API RP 8B, Manufacture Spec.

Ÿ Conduct MPI, LPI & Dimensional check for Machine Shop in accordance with API SPEC 7-1, API specification

Ÿ Manage client relationship at all levels.

Ÿ Evaluation and Interpretation of Inspection findings and furnishing of comprehensive Inspection reports.

Ÿ Train new Interns (inspection field)

Ÿ Cooperation in implementing solutions to help client succeed.

· Prepare the ITP & approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) by relevant authority and and perform the task as per ITP & maintain the quality documents

· Conduct site inspections, witness tests, and verify material compliance.

· Prepare and submit inspection reports, daily logs, and final documentation

· Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during all inspection activities

· Support project completion, handover, and close-out documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical only )

· Minimum 5-10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas inspection, with senior-level responsibility

· Certification relevant to discipline (ASNT NDT Level II – VT, MT, PT, UT)

· Other DS1/API RP 7G-2/NS2 certificates advantage

· Strong knowledge of international standards and codes (DS1, NS2, API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, etc.)

· Proven experience in site inspection and quality control within upstream oil & gas projects

· Ability to read and interpret drawings, standards, specifications, and procedures

· Good command of written and spoken English

· Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Site-based position in upstream oil & gas field locations

· May require shift work and extended hours depending on project requirements
