The Senior Officer – Business Finance is responsible for driving financial excellence by evaluating business opportunities, conducting financial and data analyses, assessing financial risks, and supporting strategic decision-making. The role contributes to annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and coordination with the central finance function to ensure effective financial management and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities, including projects, investments, and market expansions, to evaluate financial viability and strategic fit.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to forecast outcomes and support management decision-making.
- Calculate and analyze Return on Investment (ROI) for proposed initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses such as profitability, cost-benefit, and margin analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders and management.
- Identify and assess financial risks including market fluctuations, cost overruns, and revenue shortfalls.
- Support annual planning by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Collaborate with the central budgeting team to prepare budgets aligned with business objectives.
- Assist in preparing and updating financial forecasts for revenue, expenses, and capital requirements.
- Develop management reports and dashboards using MS Excel, Power BI, and similar tools.
- Conduct advanced analytics on large datasets using tools such as Alteryx and Azure Data Factory.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data used in reporting.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Comply with organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents in a timely manner.
- Participate in mandatory HSE training and promote safe work practices.
Perform additional duties assigned by management to support organizational objectives.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CA are preferred.
- Certification in Advanced Excel Modelling is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business performance analysis and data analytics.
- Preferably with experience in an airport environment.
