Senior Officer, Research and Evaluation, Office of the Associate Provost for Assessment and Accreditation

Reports to: Senior Manager, Research and Evaluation


Purpose: The role supports the effective implementation of assessment, accreditation, and ranking activities across the university. The job holder is responsible for coordinating data collection, analysis, reporting, and compliance monitoring to ensure the university meets standards of quality assurance and maintains strong performance in external accreditation and ranking processes. The job holder fosters and maintains a regular working relationship with colleagues across the university and with key personnel in the accreditation and ranking bodies.


Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Develops and implements assessment tools, analyzes data, and provides reports and training to ensure continuous improvement in institutional effectiveness
  • Accreditation: Supports accreditation processes by coordinating data collection, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ranking: Manages ranking-related data and reporting, collaborates with stakeholders, and analyzes methodologies to inform strategy and improve institutional standing
  • Collaboration & Communication: Builds effective working relationships across the university and with external bodies to support data-driven evaluation and promote institutional goals
  • Training & Capacity Building: Delivers training, guidance, and resources to faculty and staff on assessment, accreditation, and ranking processes to build internal capability and promote a culture of quality
  • Continuous Improvement & Research: Continuously enhances processes by applying best practices and research in assessment, accreditation, and ranking
  • General Support: Perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field;
  • Master's degree is a plus


Experience:

  • Around 8 years of professional experience, including 3–5 years in assessment, accreditation, quality assurance, or compliance within an educational setting
  • Experience using assessment data analytic software is an asset


Skills:

  • Higher Education Knowledge: Familiarity with policies, procedures, and the context of assessment and accreditation
  • Assessment & Accreditation: Strong grasp of assessment processes, accreditation standards, and ranking methodologies
  • Analytical Skills : Proficiency in data analysis tools, statistical software, and interpreting results
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
