In this role, you will support the implementation of the Emiratisation strategies of EGA to ensure objectives related to the acquisition and development of UAE Nationals are met.
Day-to-day Operations
- Identify development needs of Nationals (Graduate Trainees, National Trainees (NT) Admin or others who are in target areas after completing training programmes)
- Ensure training programmes are meeting the identified needs for Graduate Trainees and NT
- Responsible for assigned courses and coordinate with specific national trainees at various levels
- Ensure that the training is carried out to achieve levels of competence set by target departments in accordance with current job requirements as well as future development plans
- Evaluate development programmes and plans of UAE National trainees and employees to ensure they meet the specific needs of individuals and departments
- Conduct regular review meetings to monitor progress and periodically review development plans to check their relevance and identify further actions for Graduate Trainees in both Operational and Corporate sides
- Confere with management, supervisors and related mentors or individuals to evaluate the trainees' progress against agreed outcomes, gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and business initiatives
- Coordinate with EGA Scholarship team regarding the list of sponsored students for Work Placement / Internship and Summer Programmes
- Coordinate with areas to receive the development plan of the students for Work Placement / Internship trainees
- Coordinate and collaborate with other entities whenever required to train the students among the company on different levels of education either Job Shadow, job orientation and day out presentation
- Identify and take action on TCA for the external courses for the Graduate Trainees whenever required
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) for the approved TCA's in SAP system for Graduate Trainee's approved external courses
- Actively coordinate and interact with the business areas and graduate trainees towards GT engagement and satisfaction
- Organise Familiarization Tour for the Corporate and Operation sides, and as requested by business areas to arrange customized Familiarization Tour for individual Graduate Trainees
- Attract UAE Nationals by attending Career Fairs, exhibitions and events organised by Recruitment and other areas
- Coordinate with the Business partner / department to solve concerns of Graduate Trainees and escalate as required
- Coordinate with the Main Training Centre to ensure that all the Graduate Trainees attending the Future Leader courses submit assignments on time
- Coordinate with Salary Admin to ensure that Graduate Trainees receive the increment and other allowances
- Coordinate with Employee Relations with cases related to Graduate Trainees joining the National Military Service and any other concerns
- Coordinate with Corporate Communication Team on a monthly basis to post activities on EGA social media
- Coordinate for Summer Training for the UAE Nationals
- Streamline with Recruitment department that Graduate Trainees are allocated against their qualifications; communicate with Recruitment Team regarding the Graduate Trainees who will be joining EGA to request their profiles and joining details for further action
- Ensure Graduate Trainees and areas attend a meeting before releasing Graduate Trainee for the National Military Service for completing necessary documents and process
- Coordinate with Business Partners, Employee Relations, and area of the Graduate Trainee regarding resignation of the Graduate Trainee for further actions
- Coordinate with Performance Management team whenever required
- Coordinate with other sections of the team to ensure that GTs move into their roles seamlessly
- Prepare reports and data analysis upon request to other areas
- Monitor other identified nationals in administrative roles in their area
- Support other identified nationals in administrative roles in their progress review meeting
- Identify Graduate Trainees in different areas to see if they are against budget or replacement
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field; higher qualification preferred
- 2 - 4 years experience in relevant industry / operational area
