Senior Operations Manager

A leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee production operations and ensure alignment with safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards across a multi-shift facility. This role is critical for driving operational excellence and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Compensation : $120,000 - $165,000

Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe work environment, enforce OSHA/EPA regulations, maintain PSM standards, and oversee quality and housekeeping programs.
• Operational Efficiency: Optimize schedules, manage labor/material costs, control budgets, and drive waste reduction through Lean/Six Sigma.
• Team Leadership: Develop and coach supervisors, foster accountability, and maintain strong cross-functional communication.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives, support new equipment installations, and collaborate with R&D, EHS, and quality teams.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to capital planning, manage material flow, and support long-term operational goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or 8+ years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, and GMP compliance requirements.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to influence and drive cultural change.
• Solid understanding of organizational dynamics and the impact of production decisions on supply chain, quality, and EHS.
