Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PKT

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Planner with strong experience in logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain operations.

In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex, high-value, and high-risk operational jobs while ensuring strong commercial control, operational efficiency, and risk management.

This position requires strong decision-making ability, commercial awareness, and the capability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end planning of complex logistics and freight forwarding operations
• Conduct feasibility analysis including routing, capacity planning, customs, and warehousing
• Develop detailed execution plans with contingencies and risk mitigation strategies
• Identify gaps in plans and resolve operational issues proactively

Commercial Control & Cost Management

• Monitor and validate cost structures to ensure profitability
• Identify commercial risks early and take corrective actions
• Support pricing decisions with operational insights
• Ensure all jobs remain within approved budgets and margins

Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination

• Manage key suppliers and logistics partners
• Resolve service and performance issues effectively
• Coordinate with internal departments including Sales, Accounts, and Operations
• Ensure smooth communication across all stakeholders

Execution Oversight & Risk Management

• Monitor ongoing operations and adjust plans where required
• Handle escalations with strong decision-making ability
• Reduce operational disruptions and ensure smooth execution
• Improve predictability and reduce firefighting

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete, structured, and audit-ready job files
• Ensure accurate documentation across all operational processes
• Support compliance and reporting requirements

Leadership & Team Development

• Review and guide planners on execution quality and decision-making
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Support onboarding and training of new employees
• Improve overall team performance standards

Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Improve SOPs and operational standards
• Enhance planning accuracy and execution reliability
• Reduce operational risks across workflows

Billing & Job Closure

• Ensure jobs are fully completed and billing-ready
• Align operational costs with revenue accuracy
• Support Accounts in resolving discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum qualification required)
• Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Strong understanding of end-to-end operational processes
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Experience handling complex or high-value shipments
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Leadership or team mentoring experience preferred
