We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist who is passionate about nonprofit and LLC accounting and enjoys supporting organized, mission-driven financial operations.

This role supports financial operations across multiple program areas and is ideal for a knowledgeable accounting professional seeking consistent part-time work with flexibility and autonomy. The position requires someone comfortable managing billing, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting efficient financial workflows.

This is a hybrid position that includes both remote work and in-office time. Some in-person presence will be required for collaboration and key financial tasks, while remote work offers flexibility for independent responsibilities. The role is well suited for an experienced professional who values flexibility, independence, and a balanced work structure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage billing, invoicing, and payment tracking
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
  • Record and categorize financial transactions
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with nonprofit accounting needs, including fund tracking and reporting awareness
  • Maintain accurate books for LLC operations
  • Track financial activity across multiple program areas
  • Potentially manage payment of company bills and expense tracking
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries as requested
  • Maintain organized and efficient financial workflows
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional financial standards

Qualifications

  • Strong QuickBooks experience (required)
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting and standard LLC/business accounting practices
  • Comfortable working across multiple software platforms and financial systems, with ability to quickly learn new tools
  • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with nonprofit grant management, including tracking restricted funds and reporting
  • Grant writing experience is a plus

Schedule & Work Location

  • Part-time position
  • Approximately 10-15 hours per week
  • Hybrid role: combination of remote work and required in-office time
  • Flexible scheduling within agreed hours

Compensation

  • $27–$30 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
