Centro de la Cultura is seeking a highly experienced and detail-focused Senior Payroll Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll accounting functions, ensuring accurate salary processing, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting financial reporting related to employee compensation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely salary calculations and postings
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure alignment between HR records and financial systems
- Prepare payroll journals, accruals, and month-end closing entries
- Ensure compliance with Qatar labor laws and internal compensation policies
- Review employee benefits, deductions, overtime, and leave settlements for accuracy
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams on payroll data validation and updates
- Support preparation of payroll reports, financial statements, and audit documentation
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve employee queries professionally
- Assist in end-of-service benefits calculations and final settlements
- Contribute to process improvements and automation of payroll accounting activities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in payroll accounting or finance operations
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, accounting standards, and reconciliation processes
- Experience with ERP/HR systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in cultural institutions, NGOs, or multinational organizations is an advantage
