We’re seeking a Senior Physics Engineer —or a hybrid engineer/data scientist with strong physics-based modeling experience—to support real-time well data operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly capable of validating and improving models in field conditions.

You will serve as a critical link between In-Country operations and U.S.-based engineering teams, ensuring that model outputs are accurate, parameters are properly tuned, and anomalies or data integrity issues are quickly surfaced. Strong technical communication and documentation skills are essential for enabling seamless global collaboration.

This role is perfect for someone who blends applied physics knowledge with modern data analysis and who excels in high-impact, real-time operational environments.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

• Access and analyze live well data from in-country systems
• Validate physics-based and hybrid ML model outputs to ensure alignment with real-world behavior
• Tune local model parameters to improve predictive accuracy under field-specific conditions
• Identify anomalies, edge cases, and data quality issues in streaming or near real-time data
• Produce high-quality error metrics to accelerate iteration cycles between UAE and U.S.-based teams
• Document evaluation methods, findings, and parameter changes in clear, structured formats
• Collaborate with U.S. engineers and data scientists to refine models and incorporate field insights

🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile

• Must be based in the UAE (Abu Dhabi highly preferred)
• Background in physics, petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or applied data science
• Experience with physics-based modeling, simulation, or hybrid ML approaches
• Strong understanding of real-time or time-series operational data, ideally in the energy sector
• Ability to evaluate models, tune parameters, and identify data anomalies independently
• Strong communication skills for cross-border collaboration and clear documentation
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to operate efficiently in dynamic field environments
