Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Piping System Design & Engineering – Lead the development of piping layouts, isometrics, line routing, and pipe support design in accordance with ASME B31.3, B31.1, and other applicable international standards.
  • Piping Stress Analysis – Perform static and dynamic analysis using CAESAR II (and other tools as required), ensuring system flexibility, stress compliance, and support adequacy.
  • Flange Management & Joint Integrity – Ensure correct flange rating, gasket selection, and bolting calculations per ASME B16.5, ASME PCC-1, and industry guidelines.
  • Valve Engineering Support – Oversee valve selection, specification, sizing, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and reliable operations; apply relevant API and ASME standards.
  • Piping Materials & Specifications – Prepare and maintain Piping Material Specifications (PMS), valve datasheets, line classes, and ensure material compatibility with service conditions.
  • Plant Modifications & Brownfield Projects – Develop engineering deliverables (piping layouts, tie-in details, construction work packs) for small-to-medium scale modifications and upgrades.
  • Operational & Maintenance Support – Provide technical input to Management of Change (MoC) processes, maintenance queries, and troubleshooting of piping-related issues.
  • Incident Investigation – Lead or participate in investigations of piping-related failures, leaks, or integrity concerns, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective/preventive measures.
  • Engineering Reviews & Site Support – Review contractor/vendor deliverables, conduct 3D model reviews, support HAZOP/HAZID workshops, and provide field engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination – Work closely with process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure piping design integration and constructability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering (or equivalent discipline).
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in piping design, stress analysis, and execution of EPC or O&G projects.
  • Proficiency in CAESAR II for stress analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of piping design software (e.g., AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks).
  • Deep understanding of international piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, ASME B16 series, API standards, ASME PCC-1).
  • Familiarity with pipe support design, flexibility analysis, and constructability.
