Senior Planner - Fitout

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Scheduling & Control

Develop and oversee detailed project schedules (baseline and recovery) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Define project scope, work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, and work packages. Establish milestones, critical paths, and overall project timelines.

Ensure proper schedule control and compliance with project requirements.

2. Progress Monitoring & Recovery Planning

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against approved schedules. Identify delays, risks, and deviations from the plan.

Lead the development and implementation of recovery and mitigation plans.

Perform delay analysis and recommend corrective actions.

3. Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead and guide planning engineers and site planning teams.

Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and procurement teams. Ensure alignment of material delivery, manpower, and project schedules.

Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders.

4. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

Review and present progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to senior management and clients.

Provide insights on project performance, risks, and mitigation strategies. Ensure accuracy and consistency in all planning reports and dashboards.

5. Documentation & Claims Management

Oversee preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and variation claims. Ensure proper documentation and supporting schedule analysis for claims.

Maintain all planning-related records and documentation in line with project requirements. 6. Resource Planning & Optimization

Plan and optimize manpower, equipment, and materials in line with project milestones. Monitor resource utilization and productivity.

Recommend strategies to improve efficiency and reduce delays.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 6–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling (preferably in construction/interior fit-out projects).

Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project. In-depth understanding of project lifecycle and project control methodologies.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
