Senior Planner – Rakhat Construction

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to oversee the scheduling, coordination, and progress monitoring of our construction projects across the UAE. The role involves developing detailed project schedules, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery while managing risks and resources effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction planning within the UAE and a proven track record in managing complex development projects, particularly high floor residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for multiple construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment and accurate scheduling.
• Monitor project progress and provide timely reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Analyze schedule risks and propose mitigation plans to minimize delays.
• Review contractor schedules and ensure compliance with the master project timeline.
• Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings and provide guidance on critical path analysis.
• Ensure all scheduling activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Use Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools to maintain and report schedule data.
• Support project control activities including progress tracking, change management, and resource allocation.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior planning staff.
• Prepare and update the Construction Lookahead programs in coordination with construction team ensuring the day to day operations align with the overall project timeline.
• Review, Analysis, and respond to Subcontractor's submitted claims in adherence with the contractual agreements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction planning, preferably within the UAE.
• Proven experience in planning and delivering high floor residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction processes, law, and local authority requirements.
• Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software.
• Proven ability to manage complex project schedules and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with large-scale real estate developments, including high-rise and high floor residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Understanding of construction methodologies and site execution processes.
• PMP certification or similar project management credential is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in both contractor and developer environments is a plus.
