Job Summary

The Senior Planner Scheduler is responsible for construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis of project activities. This role supports project organizational and administrative functions as delegated and may supervise planning and scheduling activities. The position ensures work is completed according to schedule and identifies schedule-related risks and cost trends for management review.


Job Description

  • Obtain required schedule input from all disciplines and project functions
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure alignment on project schedule requirements
  • Integrate all project schedule activities into a single, coordinated plan
  • Identify schedule restraints and assess their impact on project timelines
  • Analyze inter-discipline and functional interfaces that may affect scheduling
  • Monitor and report on critical path activities and overall schedule performance
  • Conduct schedule analysis to identify problem areas and determine activity criticality
  • Recommend schedule improvement alternatives to the project team
  • Lead, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources and associated costs


Skills Required

  • 10–13 years of professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Strong experience in planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement
  • Advanced proficiency with Project Controls tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and objectives
  • Construction experience on large, complex EPC projects
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience on EPC projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend corrective actions


Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or 14–17 years of experience in lieu of a degree


Additional Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain required facility-specific clearance
  • Ability to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC)
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening, including employment and education verification
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot
  • Must be physically fit and able to work safely in an operating plant environment
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities
