Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with all quality standards. The Senior Planning Engineer will oversee project timelines, resources, and performance while collaborating with the project management team to resolve issues, ensure smooth execution, and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and update project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- MUST HAVE HIGH RISE BUILDING EXPERIENCE
- Monitor and control project progress, ensuring alignment with the initial project plan.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project timelines, milestones, and deviations.
- Perform critical path analysis and identify potential risks and delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to align schedules and resources.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and optimization.
- Review and assess project changes, analyze their impact on schedules, and propose adjustments.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and forecasts to senior management and clients.
- Conduct delay analysis and provide mitigation strategies for any delays or disruptions.
- Assist in the preparation of tender schedules and other planning documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior planning engineers and provide technical support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar are preferred.
- Strong proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, contracts, and methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and handle large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
