Job Title: Planning Engineer

Job responsibilities:
To review the Tenders/Bidding proposals scope, produce Tender/Bid Proposal plans & schedules, estimate resources (manpower/man-hours/trade disciplines/equipment), produce histograms/S-curves, Prepare Cost/Budgets, analyze potential delays, implement corrective actions and prepare planning & schedule reports, and risk registers.

Promote established policy and objectives throughout the department to increase awareness, motivation and involvement.

Ensure focus on customer requirements throughout the department.

Ensure that appropriate processes are implemented to enable requirements of customers and other interested parties to be fulfilled and objectives to be achieved.

Ensure that an effective and efficient Quality / HSE management system is implemented and maintained in the department to achieve these objectives.

Receive instructions from immediate superior or receive client work packs and produce project plans in outline and in detail as required.

Develop, maintain and manage Project plan and detailed schedules using Primavera-P6.

Ensure all planning activities comply with industry standards and company procedures.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.

Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management.

Report on the effect of changes, especially any negative changes to management.

Attend all company planning meetings and client planning meetings as directed.

Maintain accurate files of planning data both in hard copy and in software/programs including Primavera-P6, MS Project, Excel and Word.

Prepare the pre/post bid clarifications and their responses.

Operate and encourage a team working environment with colleagues and client personnel.

Maintain proper security of data, software, program etc.
Experience
:
-
Minimum of 12-15 years of solid work experience as Sr. Planning Engineer / Management Mid-Level in the EPC Oil & Gas Industry, with 3 years working in Tendering/Proposals Phase
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, preferably mechanical
Preferred
:
-
Masters in any Engineering and or Certified Project/Risk Management Professional (PMP/RMP).

PMP with minimum 12-15 Years of strong background in EPC projects, with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry on both On-shore & Off-shore Projects of both Greenfield and Brownfield in nature involving Turn Arounds.
