Job Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber Planning & Estimation Engineer to lead the technical and financial strategy for our high-profile commercial building project. You will be the "mastermind" behind project execution, responsible for developing bulletproof schedules, precise cost forecasts, and data-driven monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and site execution, ensuring our project is delivered on time, within budget, and to world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Estimating: Perform comprehensive Quantity Take-offs (QTO) and prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil, structural, and finishing works.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and manage the Project Baseline Schedule using the Critical Path Method (CPM) in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Cost Control & EVM: Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) to track schedule and cost performance (SPI/CPI) and identify potential variances before they impact the bottom line.
  • BIM Coordination: Leverage 4D (Time) and 5D (Cost) BIM workflows to visualize construction sequences and extract automated quantities for higher accuracy.
  • Vendor & Bid Management: Lead the technical evaluation of subcontractor bids, manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, and perform rigorous rate analysis for market-competitive procurement.
  • Dynamic Reporting: Generate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports (DPR/WPR) including S-curves, manpower histograms, and equipment productivity logs.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify project risks early, maintain the risk register, and evaluate the financial impact of scope changes or design variations.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. A Master’s in Construction Management is a plus.
  • Experience: 3–8 years of proven experience in planning and estimation for large-scale commercial projects (e.g., IT parks, malls, or corporate high-rises).
  • Software Mastery:
  • Planning: Expert-level Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Estimation: Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, CostX, or specialized QTO tools.
  • Design/Reporting: AutoCAD for blueprint analysis and Advanced Excel (Macros/Power Query) for financial modeling.
  • Professional Certifications: Possession of PMP, RICS (Quantity Surveying), or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) is highly preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex technical data into actionable project insights.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to coordinate with architects, site managers, and clients.
  • Resilience: Capable of navigating high-pressure deadlines and adapting schedules to site realities.
