Job Overview

El Patio Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Planning Engineer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring large-scale infrastructure and landscape projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, contractual requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent

Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules in coordination with project teams

Conduct delay analysis, including EOT assessments, and provide contractual planning support

Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports

Identify critical path activities and propose mitigation measures to avoid delays

Coordinate with design, supervision, and contractor teams to ensure timely submissions and approvals

Review contractor programs, cash flow forecasts, and resource allocations

Support project controls functions including cost tracking and performance analysis

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Minimum 7 years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably within UAE infrastructure or landscape projects

Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project

Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts and delay analysis methodologies

Experience in handling multi-package / multi-site projects (e.g., parks, public realm, infrastructure)

Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills

Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on projects with DMT / Abu Dhabi Municipality

Familiarity with authority approval processes and project permitting

Background in consultancy supervision roles
