Senior Planning Engineer - Join Immediately

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join our team immediately in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on major infrastructure and building construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project controls expertise and a proven track record in delivering complex projects within approved timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, baseline programs, and progress monitoring systems using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project performance against approved schedules and identify delays, risks, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project timelines and deliverables.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, executive dashboards, KPI reports, and forecast updates.
• Conduct delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) assessments, and prepare recovery schedules as required.
• Review contractor schedules, monitor progress, and assess compliance with project milestones.
• Support tendering activities through preparation of project schedules, resource histograms, manpower plans, and cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure planning and scheduling deliverables comply with client requirements, contractual obligations, Ashghal standards, QCS, and international best practices.
• Support management in project risk assessment, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate planning activities across multiple infrastructure and building projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years of consultancy experience in Qatar.
• Proven experience in both infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and related works) and building construction projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, institutional, or high-rise developments).
• Strong experience in project controls, scheduling methodologies, progress measurement, and reporting.
• Experience in delay analysis, EOT claims, recovery planning, and risk management.

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough knowledge of Ashghal requirements, QCS, and international planning standards.

Mandatory Requirement
