Senior Planning Manager in construction will lead strategic project scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring for large, complex projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery by developing master schedules (Primavera P6), analyzing risks, reporting to leadership, and mentoring a planning team, acting as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams. They focus on critical path analysis, risk mitigation, and ensuring all planning aligns with corporate goals, contractual obligations, and quality standards from feasibility to handover.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning
: Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, master programs, and resource-loaded plans for multiple concurrent projects.

Project Controls: Implement and oversee progress monitoring, delay analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM), and forecasting.

Risk & Resource Management
: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and optimize allocation of labor, equipment, and materials.

Stakeholder Communication:
Present plans, reports, and recommendations to senior management, clients, and contractors, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Team Leadership:
Mentor and manage a team of planning engineers, fostering high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.

Reporting:
Prepare detailed weekly/monthly reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior leadership.

Compliance:
Ensure adherence to industry standards, local regulations, and contractual requirements, including managing variations and claims.
Key Requirements:

Bachelors Degree
in Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience
, with at least 5 years in a planning or project control leadership role.

Strong background in
Primavera P6
, MS Project, and planning software.

Familiarity with
cost planning, contracts (FIDIC), and project governance
is an advantage.
