Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Planning & Programs Analyst to lead financial planning, performance analysis, compliance, and budgeting activities. This role supports leadership through high-quality reporting, strategic insights, and effective financial governance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), audit oversight, and financial operations, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and complex organizational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement multi-year financial plans in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Deliver forecasting models, scenario analyses, and financial insights for executive leadership.
- Budgeting & Financial Reporting
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets across departments.
- Produce accurate, timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for leadership and governance bodies.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international and local accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Oversee internal controls, audit coordination, and risk management processes.
- Resource & Fund Management
- Manage restricted and unrestricted funds, donor contributions, and grant allocations.
- Monitor cash flow, funding utilization, and long-term reserve planning.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide leadership to finance team members and cross-functional planning initiatives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on financial decision-making.
- Operational Excellence
- Drive implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
- Oversee procurement, contract management, and financial risk mitigation practices.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Certifications (Required - at least one):
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
- Or recognized regional equivalent
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including:
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Budget oversight and control
- Preparation of financial statements and reports
- Audit coordination and compliance management
