POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Senior Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering, continuous improvement, and capital project execution activities at the DrinkPAK plant they support. This role serves as the senior on-site engineering lead—embedded at the plant but reporting directly to Corporate Engineering Services—with direct ownership of a very large, multi-million dollar annual capital portfolio spanning multiple projects, production lines, and infrastructure systems simultaneously. The leader drives reliability, throughput, and technical readiness while ensuring the plant maintains clean, accurate, and reusable engineering assets across all active and completed initiatives. This role is a Plant Embedded Senior Engineering & Multi-Project Execution Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and manage a very large, multi-million dollar annual capital project portfolio, overseeing multiple concurrent projects and production line initiatives from scoping through commissioning and turnover.

Lead on-site engineering support across all active production lines, ensuring technical readiness, reliability, and rapid resolution of complex cross-line issues.

Drive continuous improvement programs focused on uptime, throughput, energy efficiency, and cost reduction across the full plant footprint.

Maintain and govern engineering documentation, as builts, equipment lists, and technical standards in coordination with Corporate Engineering Services; ensure accuracy and reusability across all project phases.

Partner with Corporate Engineering on capital prioritization, multi-project sequencing, annual budgeting, and cross-site standardization initiatives.

Develop, submit, and manage requests for bid; evaluate contractor and vendor proposals across concurrent scopes of work.

Provide engineering input into annual expense and capital budgeting processes; track spend, forecast variances, and escalate risks proactively across the portfolio.

Support maintenance teams with root cause analysis, reliability improvements, and long-term corrective actions across multiple systems and lines.

Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and vendors for equipment upgrades, retrofits, repairs, and technical evaluations across active project scopes.

Lead technical readiness for new equipment installations, line modifications, and process changes affecting multiple production lines simultaneously.

Ensure all plant engineering activities comply with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

Support plant outage planning, utility coordination, and infrastructure reliability improvements across the full site.

Build strong relationships with plant leadership while maintaining corporate reporting alignment and serving as the senior engineering authority on site.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.

At least 8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, CPG, food/beverage, high-speed manufacturing, or industrial environments, with demonstrated progression in scope and capital responsibility.

Proven experience managing concurrent, multi-project capital portfolios of significant scale in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of utilities, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plant infrastructure across multi-line production environments.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and OEM documentation across multiple simultaneous scopes.

Proficiency with project management tools

Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, complex sequencing, and high capital accountability in a fast-paced production environment.
