Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in Turkiye and help drive the design, scalability, and reliability of our internal platforms, empowering development teams to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain internal platforms that empower development teams with self-service capabilities to deploy, monitor, and manage applications at scale
• Develop standardized tools, frameworks, and libraries to streamline workflows and encourage best practices across teams
• Ensure seamless integration of development tools and services into the platform ecosystem to boost developer productivity
• Enhance developer experience by ensuring platform tools are intuitive, supported, and well-documented
• Implement initiatives to improve platform availability, reliability, and performance
• Apply DORA metrics to evaluate and refine deployment frequency, lead time for changes, and other key DevOps performance indicators
• Incorporate emerging technologies to expand capabilities and optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to facilitate smooth platform adoption
• Offer technical guidance and leadership to address platform-related challenges and maintain system stability

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or roles with similar responsibilities
• Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and foundational DevOps practices
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, alongside containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code solutions, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, and GitOps tools such as Flux or ArgoCD
• Familiarity with innovative tools and frameworks, like Crossplane, Pulumi, or AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK)
• Expertise in leveraging Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) such as Backstage, Humanitec, or OpsLevel to streamline developer workflows
• Background in managing high availability, high performance, multi-data center, and hybrid cloud environments
• Scripting proficiency in languages such as Bash/Shell or Python
• Competency in troubleshooting complex technical issues across system layers
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to have

• Background in resource management using tools such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or AWS ACK
• Knowledge of creating and deploying IDPs using platforms like Humanitec or Backstage
• Understanding of DORA metrics to drive enhancements in development processes
• Capability to oversee hybrid cloud systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
• Skills in designing developer-centric documentation and providing training for platform adoption
