Job Description

Our prestigious client in Qatar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy & Governance Analyst to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of world-class policies, strengthen governance frameworks, and ensure compliance with international best practices. The role is ideal for a strategic professional with excellent advisory skills and the ability to influence decision-making at senior levels.


The Senior Policy & Governance Analyst
will provide expert leadership in policy development, governance design, and compliance oversight. The position involves drafting and implementing policies, advising senior leadership, ensuring regulatory alignment, and enhancing internal processes to support effective decision-making. The role also requires fostering cross-functional collaboration and supporting high-priority initiatives from the CEO’s Office.


Key Responsibilities


  • Policy Development & Advisory


Ø Conduct research on emerging policy issues, regulations, and industry trends.


Ø Draft, implement, and maintain policies and frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and best practices.


Ø Review and update existing policies to ensure ongoing relevance and compliance.


Ø Develop and maintain Terms of Reference (ToR) for committees and functions.


Ø Provide strategic policy advice to senior leadership and prepare reports, briefings, and presentations.


  • Governance & Compliance


Ø Develop governance frameworks, monitor compliance, and provide risk management guidance.


Ø Support board meetings with reports and governance updates.


Ø Act as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and industry bodies.


Ø Oversee compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., data privacy, financial standards).


Ø Conduct regular audits to address compliance gaps and promote governance best practices across the organization.


  • Process Development


Ø Evaluate and optimize internal processes to improve information flow and decision-making.


Ø Recommend improvements to meeting structures and cross-functional collaboration.


Ø Support planning and execution of high-priority projects under the CEO’s Office.


Ø Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring smooth communication across departments.


Ø Demonstrate adaptability in addressing evolving organizational needs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, Law, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in policy, governance, or advisory roles, preferably in upper management.

  • Strong project management and proposal writing experience.

  • Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to change.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practices..
