SENIOR POOL TECHNICIAN

Reports To: M&P Supervisor / Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Swimming Pool Technician is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of swimming pool systems. The role ensures optimal water quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency while leading the technical team and managing maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Swimming Pool Technicians
• Oversee and manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for swimming pool systems
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair swimming pool systems including pumps, filters, heaters, chillers, chemical dosing systems, and electrical components
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and plumbing faults
• Monitor and maintain water hygiene and chemical balance in accordance with safety standards
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Operate and troubleshoot pool automation and control systems
• Prepare annual maintenance plans and schedules
• Prepare and submit monthly maintenance and operational reports
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Coordinate with client operations teams and internal maintenance departments

Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience in swimming pool and water features maintenance
• Strong knowledge of pool systems, water chemistry, and maintenance procedures
• Ability to safely handle chemicals and maintenance equipment
• Physical capability to perform outdoor and manual tasks, including lifting equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a team
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in swimming pool maintenance from a recognized vocational institute
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in indoor and outdoor swimming pool maintenance in hotels, resorts, or residential complexes
