Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Multi-Asset team within the global Investment Division. This role is designed to elevate our execution in portfolio construction, dynamic management, and trading support. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, investment strategists, and traders to support investment implementation, performance analysis, and portfolio oversight across a range of multi-asset mandates.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with strong technical and analytical capability, and a passion for investment markets. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we manage portfolios and execute across global client accounts.

Core Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Investment Execution

Collaborate with PMs to support day-to-day investment management, including dynamic rebalancing, fund transitions, tactical overlays, and model implementation.

Provide direct support to the trading function, including preparing trade instructions, reviewing blotters, and monitoring pre/post-trade execution quality.

Maintain and enhance portfolio monitoring frameworks: exposures, risk metrics, policy compliance, and performance diagnostics.

Work with investment tools and data platforms to streamline oversight of portfolio positioning and risk exposures.

Manager Research & Selection

Support the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of third-party investment managers.

Participate in quarterly manager review calls and contribute to data analysis that informs manager selection and retention decisions.

Develop materials that translate manager positioning and market views into portfolio context.

Risk & Performance Analytics

Conduct attribution analysis (returns- and holdings-based), scenario testing, and diagnostics across portfolios to assess sources of return and key risks.

Assist in developing tools and dashboards to enhance investment decision-making and risk governance.

Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously improve how we capture and act on performance insights.

Client Reporting & Support

Prepare and review recurring client materials (e.g., quarter-end commentary, performance reviews), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and narrative consistency.

Support ad hoc client queries and special requests with thoughtful, data-driven analysis.

Liaise with sales and client service teams to ensure alignment between investment decisions and client-facing materials.

Process Improvement & Infrastructure

Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflow efficiency across trading, reporting, and investment implementation processes.

Partner with tech and ops teams to evolve data infrastructure and automation in service of investment insights.

Serve as a connective point between Mumbai-based analysts and onshore investment staff to ensure continuity and alignment in execution.

Qualifications & Characteristics

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar).

5+ years of relevant investment experience, ideally in multi-asset portfolio management or portfolio analysis.

Demonstrated experience working closely with portfolio managers or traders in a hands-on capacity.

Deep analytical skills with exposure to asset allocation, risk modeling, manager evaluation, and investment implementation.

Proven ability to produce clear, reliable, and insightful investment analysis under deadline.

Fluency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data systems (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, or equivalent).

Preferred:

Exposure to or interest in quantitative methods, including performance attribution, optimization, or portfolio construction techniques.

Programming experience (e.g., Python, R, SQL, VBA) is a strong plus, or a willingness to learn.

CFA designation or enrollment in the CFA program.

Soft Skills:

Highly organized and accountable with a bias for action and follow-through.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical concepts into intuitive narratives.

Collaborative team player with the flexibility to support across workstreams and time zones.

Proactive, intellectually curious, and driven to improve systems and outcomes.
