Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and optimize power electronic systems and solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power conversion, inverter design, and control systems, along with proven experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, simulation, and development of power electronic circuits such as DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, and DC-AC inverters.
- Develop control algorithms for power electronics applications (motor drives, renewable energy, UPS, EV charging, etc.).
- Perform circuit simulation using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, or SPICE.
- Drive PCB design and layout for power electronics hardware, ensuring thermal and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Conduct prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware designs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and reliability standards (IEC, UL, CE, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, testing) to deliver robust solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and test procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and review their designs.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in power electronics and suggest innovative improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
- 7+ years of relevant experience in power electronics design and development.
- Strong understanding of:
- Power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, GaN).
- High-frequency switching converters.
- Magnetics design (transformers, inductors).
- Thermal management techniques.
- Hands-on experience with control strategies (PWM, FOC, digital control using DSP/MCU/FPGAs).
- Proficiency in simulation and design tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Altium, OrCAD).
- Experience in hardware debugging and lab equipment usage (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.).
- Knowledge of reliability, safety, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in EV powertrain, renewable energy systems, or industrial automation.
- Exposure to battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage solutions.
- Knowledge of standards and certifications related to power electronics.

Pay: ₹9,701.13 - ₹35,573.02 per month
