We are seeking a data-driven and strategic Pricing Analyst to join our team in the dynamic food processing sector. This role is pivotal in optimizing pricing strategies across our product portfolio to maximize profitability, competitiveness, and customer value. The ideal candidate will blend analytical rigor with market insight to support pricing decisions that drive growth and operational efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Analyze pricing and operational data, market trends, and customer insights to develop pricing models and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D and Operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies, via annual price reviews and updates and adjust based on customer feedback and internal KPIs.
- Conduct margin analysis, including price, mix, volume analysis and cost-to-serve evaluations to support pricing decisions. Collaborate cross functionally to support conclusions.
- Perform Return on Investment and “What If” scenario analysis for various investments around sales/customer initiatives.
- Develop and maintain pricing tools, dashboards, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying efficiencies and providing reporting, specifically around inventory management.
- Support new product launches with pricing and scenario planning, including establishing rebate and penalty structures by developing a strong understanding of the Company’s overhead structure.
- Provide insights on customer segmentation and price elasticity to inform profit optimization strategies.
- Perform various month end close activities.
- Support interim and year end audit activities related to product costing.
- Other analysis and activities as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Solid understanding of cost accounting and financial modeling.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills that reflect ability to analyze a broad range of issues and provide solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prepare compelling presentations.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing and conflicting assignments.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and supply chain dynamics is preferred.
- Knowledge of promotional pricing, trade spend analysis, and channel-specific pricing strategies is preferred.
