Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant – .NET + Azure
In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale solutions built on .NET and Microsoft Azure. You will define cloud-native architectures, ensure engineering excellence, enforce security and scalability standards, and mentor teams. You are expected to provide technical leadership across the full SDLC, including design reviews, code quality, testing strategy, and cloud optimization. Exposure to Generative AI and modern Azure AI services is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop enterprise and cloud-native applications using C#, .NET (Core / .NET 6+), and Azure services.
- Define Azure architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless) ensuring scalability, resiliency, and performance.
- Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives from on-prem or legacy systems to Azure.
- Analyze existing application architectures and recommend improvements for performance, security, cost, and maintainability.
- Establish and enforce secure coding practices, zero-trust principles, and Azure security best practices.
- Review code, ensure high-quality engineering standards, and drive technical excellence across teams.
- Define and oversee unit testing, integration testing, and test coverage strategies.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
- Mentor and guide developers and technical leads on architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Work closely with product, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
- Stay current with Microsoft .NET, Azure cloud services, and emerging technologies, including Generative AI.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent degree.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET, and enterprise application architecture.
- Solid experience in architecting and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, Storage, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
- Experience designing Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in SQL Server, Entity Framework / EF Core, and data modeling.
- Good understanding of service-oriented and distributed architectures (including WCF legacy modernization).
- Experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (ARM / Bicep / Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit / NUnit), code coverage, and code quality tools.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Experience with application monitoring and observability (Application Insights, Azure Monitor, logging, tracing).
- Exposure to Generative AI, Azure OpenAI, AI integration patterns, or Python is a plus.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
