Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Prior Authorization Specialist to join our Medical Billing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling prior authorizations, insurance verification, and medication-related approvals while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Prior Authorization within the Medical Billing industry.
• Pharmacy graduation is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of medications, drug classifications, and insurance authorization processes.
• Experience working with US healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacy benefit managers.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage prior authorization requests for medications and medical services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Follow up with insurance companies, providers, and pharmacies regarding authorization status.
• Review clinical documentation to support authorization requests.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely approvals.
• Stay updated on payer policies and authorization requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to resolve authorization issues.
