
- Play a key role in resolving plant process issues, production optimization,and surveillance, as well as longer-term process reliability and safety challenges.
- Provide pragmatic engineering solutions to process and safety-related issues across operating facilities.
- Focus on optimizing production, improving plant reliability, and driving efficiency to achieve best business outcomes.
- Analyze plant operating data to identify actionable insights for troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking.
- Support Management of Change processes, including development of scope, engineering deliverables, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Lead and participate in process incident investigations, root cause analyses, and risk reviews.
- Manage process safety risks and ensure protection barriers are maintained to deliver safe and compliant operations.
- Review and validate process and process safety engineering deliverables and documentation.
- Conduct and participate in risk assessments using PHA methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA, SIL assessments, FTA, ETA, and Bow-Tie Analysis.
- Carry out consequence analysis and modeling (dispersion, radiation, blast) using industry-standard software such as PHAST, FLACS, and Flaresim.
- Provide process safety input for new projects and facility modifications, including assessments of layouts, fire and gas systems, passive and active fire protection systems, and escape/rescue philosophies.
- Support engineering and operations teams during decommissioning, shutdown, and turnaround activities.
- Develop and update process simulation models using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Flare Analyzer, Aspen EDR, HTRI, or equivalent tools.
- Perform process equipment sizing and selection, piping hydraulics, depressurization and blowdown calculations, and relief/flare system design.
- Provide technical expertise in flow assurance, hydrate and wax management, MEG systems, and well operations support.
- Contribute to ongoing carbon reduction initiatives by providing process and safety assessments.
- Apply international standards and codes such as API, IEC, ASME, and NFPA in day-today engineering activities.
- Mentor and support early career engineers in developing process and process safety competencies.
- Report to the Process & Process Safety Engineering Lead, who will oversee your performance and professional growth.
- 7+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry as a qualified Process Engineer.
- Academic background in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in design and operation of oil and gas facilities.
- Strong organizational, planning, and technical judgment skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core value.
