Senior Procurement Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
  • 7–15 years of experience in procurement engineering and civil construction projects.
  • Proven experience working with construction and contracting companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement of civil construction materials, equipment, and related services.
  • Review and analyze engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, both technically and commercially.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with suppliers.
  • Follow up on purchase orders and ensure timely delivery in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure the availability of required materials and equipment.
  • Evaluate suppliers and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in procurement of construction materials, civil works, and infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quantity take-offs.
  • Good knowledge of procurement procedures, tendering processes, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in infrastructure, water treatment, or industrial projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
