Senior Procurement Engineer - MEP

Job Summary

Mobco Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Engineer – MEP to join our team for a project based in Makkah . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and project timelines. The candidate must have strong knowledge of local suppliers and the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for all MEP materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Identify and evaluate qualified suppliers and subcontractors within the local market
• Prepare and issue RFQs, review technical and commercial proposals, and conduct bid evaluations
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams to ensure procurement requirements are aligned with project schedules
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procurement policies
• Maintain procurement tracking logs and prepare procurement status reports
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for material delivery and storage
• Support cost control initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure all procurement documentation is properly maintained and approved

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement of MEP works
• Mandatory local experience in Saudi Arabia
• Strong knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors in the Saudi market
• Experience in large-scale construction projects (preferably hospitality, high-rise, or infrastructure projects)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on projects in Makkah or Western Region
• Strong technical understanding of MEP systems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and commercial evaluation skills
