With decades of excellence and a commitment to quality, BSE is looking for an experienced and dynamic Procurement Officer/Executive with strong technical knowledge and extensive local market connections across Punjab to manage procurement operations for our switchgear manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, components, and services, ensuring timely availability of quality materials for uninterrupted production.
- Source and procure technical materials including steel sheets, fasteners (nuts, bolts), electric motors, ABB circuit breakers, switchgear components, and general industrial supplies from local vendors.
- Leverage strong relationships and market knowledge across Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad to identify reliable suppliers and secure competitive pricing.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies focused on cost optimization, quality assurance, and supply chain efficiency aligned with business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules, and pricing with vendors to achieve the most favorable commercial outcomes.
- Conduct regular market research and supplier evaluations to stay updated on industry trends, new products, alternative materials, and competitive market rates.
- Build and maintain a strong vendor database with approved suppliers for critical materials and components.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance departments to understand technical specifications, project timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.
- Monitor and manage purchase budgets, track cost savings initiatives, and analyze supplier performance through key metrics (delivery time, quality, pricing).
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate procurement documentation including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and vendor records for audit purposes.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure proper material receipt, inspection, and storage.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; (Supply Chain Management is plus)
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in the electrical engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Solid understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office; Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel locally for vendor meetings and site visits
