Role Overview:

The Deputy General Manager (Procurement) will be responsible for leading and managing procurement strategies, vendor development, and sourcing operations within the Skill Development and Education verticals. The role demands strong leadership, negotiation skills, and an understanding of large-scale institutional and government procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and cost-optimization strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage vendor identification, evaluation, and relationship management for high-value contracts.
  • Ensure strict compliance with institutional, government, and internal procurement guidelines.
  • Negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance, projects, and operations teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
  • Prepare and analyze purchase reports, MIS, and cost summaries for management review.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate procurement executives and managers within the department.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation in procurement processes using digital tools and analytics.
  • Maintain ethical sourcing practices and ensure transparency in all procurement activities.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in procurement management within education, skill, or government-linked projects.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP tools, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of tendering, rate contracts, and compliance processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹68,294.79 per month
