Senior Procurement Manager, Life Science & Industrial Manufacturing Projects.

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site up to 5 days per week with relocation to Indianapolis, IN provided - or - to travel a with minimum of 2 weeks on site in Indianapolis and 2 weeks remote.

We are currently seeking talented, full time Senior Procurement Manager for Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing projects.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing professional services procurement, upholding organizational policy standards, and driving value through effective sourcing strategies and supplier oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of procurement for professional services, from strategy to execution.
  • Design sourcing approaches that support corporate goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze market trends to identify capable vendors and secure favorable terms.
  • Partner with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored procurement solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on procurement policies and promote adherence to best practices.
  • Lead supplier evaluation, onboarding, and performance oversight to ensure quality delivery.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements and monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Uphold legal, ethical, and corporate standards across all procurement activities.
  • Reduce exposure to risk through rigorous supplier vetting and well-structured contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on professional services.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Unifier).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or regulated industry is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, performance and problem-solving skills.
