We are currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer / Procurement Engineer to manage end-to-end sourcing, procurement strategy, and vendor relationships for our landscaping and technical projects across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Research, identify, and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
- Obtain, compare, and analyze quotations to ensure best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and long-term supplier agreements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and project performance.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and requirements.
2. Order Management & Inventory Control
- Oversee day-to-day procurement operations and guide procurement team members when required.
- Manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, contracts, and vendor databases.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and ensure proper material storage and handling.
- Support material planning to avoid shortages or delays in project execution.
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all purchased materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Verify supplier documentation for finance, auditing, and compliance purposes.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, UAE regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support internal audits and ensure procurement processes meet required standards.
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare cost analysis reports, procurement progress reports, and vendor performance evaluations.
- Maintain procurement dashboards, historical cost data, and supplier performance records.
- Track key procurement KPIs to support cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making.
5. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with finance, accounts, operations, and project teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and timely deliveries.
- Support project teams with material sourcing and technical procurement requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5+ years of procurement experience in landscaping, construction, or technical works within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/procurement systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
