We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Procurement Officer to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex procurement activities, specifically focusing on Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E), Kitchen Equipment, and Tableware for our hospitality operations. This is a critical, fast-paced role requiring expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation:
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for high-value and critical items, particularly:
- Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E): Ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary operational items.
- Commercial Kitchen Equipment: Sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing specialized F&B production and service equipment.
- Tableware and Guest Amenities: Managing the procurement of high-quality china, glassware, flatware, and related items, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers, analyze pricing trends, and assess supply risks.
- Develop, negotiate, and finalize contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with local and international vendors to secure the best value, quality, and delivery terms.
Operational Management:
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of Request for Proposals (RFPs), purchase orders (POs), and other necessary procurement documentation.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., F&B, Operations, Finance) to understand their needs and specifications.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
System Utilization (Bonus/Preferred Skill):
- Experience utilizing SAP ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems for managing PR-to-PO processes, contract management, and inventory tracking is highly advantageous.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a significant focus on sourcing within the Hospitality Industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in procuring Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) and Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
- Proven track record of strategic procurement and sourcing of Tableware (china, glassware, flatware).
- Strong negotiation skills and established experience in contract drafting and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Essential Requirements
- Must possess a Valid Qatar ID (QID) and be immediately available to live and work in Qatar.
- Ready to join immediately (Candidates with long notice periods will not be considered).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
