Location: Lusail, Qatar
Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance and project needs)
Salary: QAR 6,000 (full package including all allowances)
Working Hours: 9.5 hours per day (including 1-hour break)
Days Off: Friday & Saturday
Availability: Immediate joining required

Position Summary

Our client is seeking highly experienced Senior Procurement Officers specializing in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) materials, IT equipment, and vehicle spare parts procurement. The ideal candidates will oversee the complete procurement lifecycle—from technical evaluation and vendor management to tendering, negotiation, and compliance. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality material delivery aligned with project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP materials, IT equipment, and vehicle spare parts.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize technical specifications, RFQs, and tender documents in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Conduct supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance assessment to ensure alignment with project and quality standards.
  • Lead negotiations, award contracts, and ensure full compliance with Qatar’s procurement regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation, records, and reports for audit and management review.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to support current and future project needs.
  • Ensure timely sourcing, price benchmarking, and material delivery to meet project schedules.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in Qatar, specifically involving MEP materials, IT equipment, and vehicle spare parts (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and vehicle components.
  • Proven experience managing multiple vendors and conducting efficient, strategic negotiations.
  • Familiarity with Qatar’s supplier market, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • SAP experience is an added advantage.
  • Must be able to join immediately.
