Job Summary

The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing sourcing and purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and services required for operations. The role focuses on supplier management, procurement planning, and negotiating favorable terms to support operational efficiency and business continuity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, and purchase order management.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable supply.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost control across purchasing activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand operational needs and ensure timely procurement of required materials and services.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Track and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate purchasing documentation.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Previous experience in agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or export-oriented industries is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems or procurement management systems is preferred.
  • Good command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
