Senior Product Designer

Compensation: $105,000 - $150,000 per year

The job:
As a Sr Product Designer at Buildertrend, you will help change the way the world builds by turning complex construction workflows into clear, intuitive experiences. Your work will connect builders, homeowners, and teams through tools that reduce delays, protect margins, and create confidence on every project. You will guide ideas from early discovery through live product evaluation, shaping solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical realities. In your first year, success looks like shipping meaningful improvements that customers adopt quickly and feel immediately.

What you will do:

• Lead discovery efforts with product partners to define problems worth solving.

• Drive solution ideation that aligns user needs, business outcomes, and technical feasibility.

• Create right-sized concepts, prototypes, and final designs ready for feedback and development.

• Partner closely with engineers to navigate trade-offs and ensure high-quality implementation.

• Validate solutions through testing, prototyping, and post-release evaluation, then iterate with purpose.

• Advocate for the customer by grounding decisions in research, data, and real-world builder workflows.

Who you are and what you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, product design, or a related field.

• Four or more years of product design experience, ideally in SaaS or complex workflow tools.

• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.

• Clear communicator who can explain design decisions to cross-functional partners.
