Role Overview

Nykaa is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead its Cart & Promotions Platform — a mission-critical, central system powering checkout, offers, rewards, and rule-based decisioning across all Nykaa businesses including Beauty, Fashion, Nykaa Man, Superstore (B2B), Offline Retail, and Enterprise partnerships.

You will act as the central guardian of the cart and rule engine ecosystem — evaluating business asks, building scalable capabilities, and driving intelligence into how offers, rules, and incentives are created, monitored, and optimized at scale.

The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, data science, marketing, finance, and category teams.


What This Role Will Drive


1. Platform Enablement & Scalable Capability Building

  • Evaluate and prioritize business requirements across multiple verticals.
  • Translate fragmented asks into reusable, configurable, scalable platform capabilities.
  • Ensure systems are extensible, fungible, and designed for multi-business use cases.
  • Balance speed with long-term architectural soundness.


2. Rule Engine Intelligence & Governance


  • Own the evolution of Nykaa’s promotion and cart rule engine.
  • Improve performance visibility, monitoring, alerting, budgeting, and leak detection.
  • Drive simplification of rule creation, management, and governance processes.
  • Build dashboards and performance diagnostics to evaluate rule impact and efficiency.


3. Offer & Incentive Optimization at Scale

  • Drive smarter targeting and optimization of offers across categories and user segments.
  • Partner with data teams to leverage ML/AI for ROI maximization and personalization.
  • Improve seller and internal marketing leverage through scalable campaign frameworks.
  • Strengthen financial accountability and return measurement on promotional spends.


What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 5–7+ years in Product Management, with at least 3+ years in platform or systems-driven roles.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce / marketplace/ high-scale consumer tech.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional charters.


Core Skillsets


Platform Thinking & Product Leadership

  • Ability to abstract business into scalable platform constructs.
  • Experience designing configurable systems, rule engines, or workflow platforms.
  • Strong understanding of trade-offs between flexibility, scalability, and performance.
  • Influence without authority across business and engineering stakeholders.
  • Structured thinking and prioritization under ambiguity.
  • High ownership and ability to independently drive roadmap and outcomes.

Technical Depth | Data & Analytics

  • Comfortable working closely with backend architecture, system constraints, APIs.
  • Understanding of decision engines, targeting systems, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong ability to define metrics, success criteria, and ROI frameworks.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and partnering with data science teams.

Business Acumen

  • Deep understanding of e-commerce levers: pricing, offers, shipping, incentives, checkout.
  • Ability to evaluate financial impact and long-term trade-offs.
  • Experience working with marketing, CRM, and category teams.
