Role Purpose

This role is responsible for leading the design and delivery of innovative, scalable, and secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions. As a senior architect, the position plays a critical role in shaping the organization's technology landscape through advanced architectural frameworks that drive performance, resilience, and cost efficiency. The architect provides strategic and technical leadership across infrastructure transformation programs — with a strong focus on cloud adoption, hybrid integration, and core platform optimization — to enhance operational agility, ensure security compliance, and support future-ready digital capabilities.

Position Information

  • Unit: Technology and Infrastructure
  • Division: Infrastructure Planning & Design
  • Grade: P4
  • Minimum role requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor in relevant field

  • Experience: 8 years of experience

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the design and planning of enterprise infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises, and hybrid environments, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives, including the evaluation and migration of applications, aligning with business scalability, performance, and resilience objectives.
  • Architect and manage Kubernetes and VMware clusters across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and automated lifecycle management.
  • Develop and validate High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for cloud-native and on-prem infrastructure components, incorporating modularity, integration, and compliance.
  • Lead the preparation of Scope of Work (SOW) documents for infrastructure programs and manage end-to-end tendering and evaluation processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to support CAPEX and OPEX planning, ensuring infrastructure investments are cost-effective, strategically aligned, and well-justified.
  • Provide lifecycle management of enterprise software licenses (e.g., IBM, Oracle, Microsoft), ensuring compliance, renewal planning, and optimization of license utilization and cost.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, system integrators, and stakeholders, managing performance, SLAs, contracts, and issue resolution to ensure successful project execution.
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including backup, replication, failover, and DR testing frameworks.
  • Lead and participate in infrastructure operations management, including budgeting, resource planning, compliance monitoring, and risk management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Define and enforce monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks across hybrid infrastructure landscapes to support proactive performance and incident management.
  • Champion cost optimization across public cloud and on-prem resources, using FinOps principles, reserved capacity planning, and workload right-sizing techniques.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (e.g., container platforms, cloud PaaS, SDN, edge computing) to enhance infrastructure capabilities and agility.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of infrastructure security frameworks, including cloud-native security baselines, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with data residency and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the translation of business and technical requirements into infrastructure architecture and delivery plans, ensuring strategic alignment and solution viability.
  • Design and execute complex cloud migration strategies, minimizing service disruptions and ensuring smooth transitions from legacy to cloud-native platforms.
  • Coordinate the technical evaluation and optimization of cloud vendor offerings, ensuring commercial and technical alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Establish and track infrastructure performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs, proactively identifying service risks, capacity bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
  • Drive knowledge-sharing and mentoring initiatives across the team to build internal capability and support cross-functional architectural understanding.
