Senior Project Coordinator

Salary/Position Classification

• $64,800+ Dependent on Experience, Annual, Exempt

  • Work location must be within a commutable distance from the UND main campus located in Grand Forks, North Dakota
  • Travel within North Dakota is required for this position.

Purpose of Position

This position provides senior-level coordination to project activities of the North Dakota Brain Injury Network. NDBIN provides support, education, and outreach regarding brain injury across North Dakota. The position will plan and direct program activities, community relations, and program promotion for NDBIN. Position will work closely with the program director, resource facilitator, and administrative assistant(s); as well as directly with state, regional and national partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage program initiatives for ND Brain Injury Network (NDBIN).

• Implement and manage program goals, including evaluation and reporting.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of project objectives.
• Coordinate partner efforts; develop, update, and report on statewide efforts.
• Chair and facilitate committees, organize and facilitate statewide meetings, serve on committees at national/state/local.
• Work with vendors at the state and national level, leveraging access to products, assistance, and other on the behalf of hospitals and rural health clinics.
• Develop and then oversee the administration of statewide surveys, analyze data, prepare reports, present findings.
• Determine program development initiatives, action steps, follow-through, and tracking.
• Work collaboratively with funding agencies and other partners to enhance the sustainability of projects.
• Expand and strengthen connections with other state and national entities (quality organizations, technical assistant centers, and funding agencies).
• Write and review grant proposals, including annual renewals.
• Provide content expertise and oversight to related focus areas on the CRH website, NDBIN website and NDBIN newsletter.
• Organize program activity data collection and enter it into the Center for Rural Health tracking system.

Develop and manage community relations activities including program promotion and outreach.

• Develop and maintain a project outreach and education plan.
• Develop and distribute quality program materials, educational tools, and available resources (such as brochures, flyers, and newsletter).
• Coordinate outreach activities; such as planning events.
• Represent NDBIN by attending meetings, conferences, events, and workshops.
  • Promote program activities by exhibiting at conferences.
  • Generate content for website. Develop and provide website updates to webmaster.
  • Manage programmatic promotional supplies.
• Work closely with departmental communications staff to promote NDBIN program.
• Develop and manage special projects, as assigned.
• Develop qualitative research components for projects; review/discussion of findings.
• Collaborate with public and private partners.
• Participate in community development and research meetings to enhance organizational collaboration.
• Attend national and state conferences and take advantage of other growth opportunities available.

Participate in professional activities.

• Accept opportunities to participate on committees, make presentations, and publish appropriate research or accomplishments.
• Keep current on the latest developments in the field and areas of interest related to your position, through reading and other communications.
• Contribute to the advancement of the profession and status of the North Dakota Brain Injury Network and the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Five years’ experience in developing, delivering, and facilitating healthcare education and training.
• Three years’ experience in program outreach, coordination or management.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and using videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom, WebEx (or similar).
• Successful completion of Criminal History Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, behavioral health conditions, or brain injury.
• Experience working with North Dakota’s health care system or North Dakota behavioral health services.
• Prefer master’s degree in education, social sciences, health related field, communications.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and executing seminars or conferences.
• Demonstrated ability to connect resources, empower interested persons or organizations, and take on leadership roles.
• Direct experience working in the brain injury continuum of care (acute care, rehabilitation, community reintegration, long-term supports)
• Experience developing or delivering brain injury education/training to healthcare providers, first responders, educators, or community organizations
• Experience with rural/underserved population outreach related to brain injury or disability services
