Lead the engineering, planning, and coordination for transformer, PUS, and mobile substation projects ensuring all designs, documents, and procurement activities are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications and standards.
Key Accountabilities:
Prepare and review GA drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, nameplates, interlock schemes.
Manage submission cycles and ensure timely approvals from clients/consultants (ADDC, DEWA, TRANSCO, etc.).
Coordinate with design, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with project schedule.
Handle design change requests, RFIs, and variation orders with clear documentation.
Develop and maintain project schedules (MS Project/Primavera), milestone tracking, and resource planning.
Monitor project progress and flag risks proactively with recovery plans.
Responsible for the equipment and scope management of Transformers (oil-immersed & dry-type), tap changers (OLTC/DETC), MV/LV switchgear, RMUs, feeder pillars, battery chargers, RTUs, protection relays, and busway interface details, mobile substations, including integration of transformer, switchgear, auxiliary systems, and trailer/skid design interfaces.
Ensure all deliverables meet IEC 60076, IEC 62271-202, IEC 61439, and relevant UAE utility standards.
Coordinate technical clarifications and maintain an as-built record for project closeout.
Support preparation of BOQs, variation claims, and project budgets.
Align with procurement and finance to track costs vs. budgets and optimize value engineering.
Act as the single point of contact between factory, client, consultant, and internal teams for engineering matters.
