Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a reputed Building Contracting company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in villas and residential building construction projects and be responsible from inception to completion for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and project management skills.

Job Description:

Duties not limited to the below:

• Project Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and consultants to address project-related inquiries, provide updates on progress, and ensure alignment with client expectations

• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, site records, and as-built drawings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to DM regulations and safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.

• Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and obstacles on the construction site, developing proactive strategies to mitigate issues and maintain project momentum.

• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to verify workmanship and materials, identifying and addressing any deviations or deficiencies to maintain quality standards.

• Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress and milestones, reporting updates to project stakeholders and proactively addressing any issues or delays.

• Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for the project.

• Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams, resolving technical challenges and offering solutions to optimize project efficiency.

• Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures and resource utilization, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring adherence to the project budget.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor site staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements, obtaining necessary approvals and permits for construction activities.

These duties encompass a broad range of responsibilities, reflecting the multifaceted role of a Senior Project Engineer in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion.

Requirements:

§ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

§ DM Approved Engineer is preferred with G+12 License

§ Proven experience of more than 5 years in villa construction projects within the UAE, preferably in Dubai.

§ Very well knowledge in the Government approvals like DM, DDA, DEWA etc

§ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

§ Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

§ Excellent project management and organizational skills

§ Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
