Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee all structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Review and interpret structural design drawings, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
- Coordinate with the project manager, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Monitor daily progress of structural works including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls, and other load-bearing elements.
- Verify reinforcement, formwork, and concrete placement against approved drawings and inspection requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure that materials and workmanship meet project and code standards.
- Coordinate with MEP and architectural teams to resolve structural and interfacing issues.
- Assist in preparation and review of structural calculations, design changes, and as-built documentation.
- Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports, inspection requests (IRs/WIRs), and maintain accurate project records.
- Ensure implementation of approved quality and safety procedures in all structural activities.
- Identify and highlight potential technical issues or deviations and provide practical engineering solutions in consultation with senior engineers.
- Support planning and quantity surveying teams with progress measurement, material control, and resource forecasting.
- Contribute to maintaining a proactive safety culture and promote best construction practices on site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8–12 years of proven experience in structural works supervision and execution (experience in high-rise or complex projects preferred).
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete design, detailing, and construction methods.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and familiar with project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Good understanding of international codes and standards (ACI, BS, or Eurocode).
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Thorough understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements in structural construction.
- GCC experience and valid driving license are preferred.
