Job description
- Oversee and manage all phases of high-rise building construction projects, ensuring adherence to design intent, quality benchmarks, and contractual obligations.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth progress and timely completion of works.
- Lead site operations for structural, MEP, and architectural activities, ensuring compliance with project drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Review and validate shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals in coordination with design and QA/QC departments.
- Monitor project timelines, cost targets, and resource allocation to maintain efficiency and control.
- Conduct detailed progress reviews, prepare technical reports, and recommend corrective actions for deviations or delay.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.
- Enforce HSE procedures and foster a strong safety-first culture across project teams.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure consistent execution quality.
- Collaborate with procurement and planning departments to ensure timely material delivery and subcontractor coordination.
- Maintain and update project documentation including RFIs, NCRs, progress reports, variation claims, and as-built drawings.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders to present updates and resolve technical issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to value engineering initiatives for cost and time optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of total construction experience, with a proven track record in high-rise or large-scale building projects.
- In-depth knowledge of structural systems, MEP coordination, finishing works, and project sequencing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and planning tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC standards, local authority requirements, and international building codes.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to handle pressure, resolve site challenges, and deliver within deadlines.
- GCC experience and a valid driving license are highly preferred.
