Position Summary:

The Senior Project Management Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating complex projects across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivery within scope, time, and budget. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, overseeing project planning, execution, and performance tracking, while proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. The Senior Specialist also provides mentorship to junior project managers, enforces best practices in project management methodologies, and serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Monitoring & Compliance

  • Oversee and track the progress of multiple projects , ensuring alignment with PMO policies.
  • Work closely with sub-PMOs and project managers to maintain consistency in execution.
  • Ensure projects adhere to governance frameworks, methodologies, and reporting structures .

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and portfolio summaries for senior management.
  • Consolidate project data to provide insights on performance, risks, and deviations .
  • Assist in the development of KPIs and project health metrics .

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Act as a bridge between EPMO, sub-PMOs, project teams, and senior stakeholders .
  • Facilitate status review meetings, coordination sessions, and reporting discussions .
  • Ensure clear and timely communication of project updates, risks, and key decisions .

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Support the development and enhancement of PMO frameworks, templates, and best practices .
  • Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to standardization efforts .
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience working with or within government agencies, particularly in health or research sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing procurement and inventory systems in complex organizations.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, or equivalent).
