Position Summary:

Reporting into the Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Project Manager oversees complex or multi-workstream projects that contribute to strategic organizational objectives. This role manages project execution at scale, aligning interdependent initiatives, engaging key stakeholders, and supervising other PMO staff. The Senior Project Manager also contributes to process improvement, resource planning, and the continuous evolution of project delivery practices across the portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan and manage project and portfolio execution by developing detailed work plans, overseeing timelines and deliverables, and coordinating interdependencies across multiple projects to ensure alignment, resource balance, and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and clients; lead high-level communications, facilitate decision-making, and ensure stakeholder alignment across projects
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, proactively identify and manage risks and issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to maintain scope, budget, and timeline integrity
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, clarify roles and responsibilities, and foster project team alignment
  • Identify, log, monitor project or portfolio risks and issues, and support mitigation efforts through structured tracking and resolution
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for a set of projects, proactively identifying risks and recommending remediation strategies
  • Monitor scope and deliverables across all assigned projects, lead contract interpretation discussions, and manage change control processes to address evolving client or organizational needs
  • Recommend staffing adjustments across projects and provide insights to leadership.
  • Serve as SME on Business Development initiatives that pertain to project experience, as needed
  • Champion effective use of project management technologies and recommend improvements
  • Supervise with a focus on developing individual capabilities and maintaining a balance between personal development and organizational success

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large or multi-workstream projects with cross-team interdependencies
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience navigating executive-level conversations
  • Capacity to manage complex schedules across multiple projects while adapting to shifting priorities
  • Skill in assessing, mitigating, and communicating project risks across multiple workstreams
  • Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and foster collaboration and accountability
  • Skill in tailoring tools and reporting systems to meet evolving project needs and stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to ensure quality across multiple deliverables and project teams with minimal oversight
  • Ability to lead management efforts across teams and initiatives to support adoption and readiness
  • Proficiency in forecasting resource needs and reallocating support across projects as priorities shift
  • Skill in coordinating multiple projects within a portfolio to ensure overall alignment and delivery
  • Ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable project plans and goals
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to develop talent, provide constructive feedback, and align individual growth with organizational priorities
  • Knowledge of performance management practices and organizational dynamics to effectively balance employee development with strategic goals

Position Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive project management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets, timelines, and resources in both strategic and operational projects
  • Fluency in English language

Preferred

  • Experience supervising other project management staff
  • Experience in organizations:
    • Focused on:
      • Health care delivery and/or public health
      • Quality Improvement Science Methodology
    • Operating under a consulting model
  • Professional proficiency or fluency in Arabic language

Physical Attributes:

  • Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods
  • Hearing and Speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls
  • Environment Setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings
  • Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 lbs as needed
