Customer Engagement experience:

Mange and oversees end to end customer representative engagement throughout project lifecycle.

Offer an advisory role for the customer and provide an outstanding project management customer experience.

Set two ways commitment with customer assuring commitments are deliver as promised from both the customer and Ciena

People management and Leadership:
-
Effectively manage and oversee people performance

Assess and develop project team performance
-
Assist in creating project team development plans
-
Contribute to the implementation of project team members development plans
-
Project lifecycle management
-
Decide on the right software development project lifecycle for assigned projects based on project nature
-
Formally initiate and close projects in accordance to PMO standards
-
Effectively plan, implement, correct and sign off project deliverables
-
Generate projects lessons learned and retrospectives on regular basis ensuring they reach their target audience

Risk management
-
Identify and analyze project related risks and decide counter plans
-
Define critical risks and build a robust project resilience plan to meet
-
Regularly monitor and review identified risks and the implementation of counter plans
-
Identify and emergent risks and take the right counter measures
-
Scope, Schedule, resource, quality and Cost management
-
Set effective planning for different project aspects
-
Manage the execution of project deliverables
-
Monitor the progress and realign performance when it deviates from baselines
-
Effectively manage and control change requests and assure it follows the change management plan
-
Communication management and stakeholder’s engagement
-
Develop a communication management and stakeholder’s engagement that fits project requirements
-
Tracking and reporting project progress and generate weekly status updates
-
Send out customized reports to customer and other stakeholders
-
Business process improvements:
-
Actively collects insights on what is working best and what can work better and recommend new ways of doing things

Actively lead improvements and transformation initiatives
-
Actively contribute to the enrichment of Ciena PMO practices
-
Business strategic objectives:
-
Forecast constraints and act proactively to dismantle complexities and dependencies
-
Understand the strategic importance and criticality of led projects.

Always works towards achieving Ciena objectives without compromising customer experience.

Study all aspects surrounding any critical decision, considering a 360° view of the whole situation.

Financial management
-
Effectively support presales process, LoE, sizing and estimations

Manage projects & program finance budget and P&L
-
Balance resource allocation vs utilization
-
Track and report business benefits realization and proactively raise flags when business benefits at risk
Qualifications:
-
10 to 15 years of total project management experience
-
Experience in managing software development projects
-
PMP certified
-
Understands and hands on experience in applying program management
-
Certified Managing successful programmes or PgMP is a huge plus
-
Experience in telecommunication / network engineering is a plus
-
Experience in GenAI projects, automation projects
-
Global project management experience
